This was made lighter and contrast increased but the model was selected and changed to achieve more contrast in the dress and less in the background.

This image shows the reception area of the Italian Embassy where guests were greeted. The original is too dark so I adjusted 'levels' to improve contrast and lightness but I selected the curtains at the back in order to give them less contrast and light and therefore to make them less noticable.
